NIKE 6.0 NIGHTRAIL SESSION
As spring
slowly approaches China’s capital, NIKE 6.0 have
vowed to keep things cool in Beijing with the
announcement of the NIKE 6.0 Nightrail Session,
to be held February 27th at Nanshan Ski Resort.
Featuring a fresh competition format, an innovative
setup and a drool-worthy prize list, this all-new
nighttime rail session offers Chinese snowboard fans the
chance to celebrate winter’s end with a bang!
The entire lower section of the resort’s current terrain
park will be remolded and reshaped in order to provide a
new and spectator-friendly setup exclusive to
this event. The drop-in zone will lead to three parallel
jib features of varying difficulty, ensuring non-stop
action as local rail-ninjas and beginners alike
throw down their everything in order to impress the
judges. Impress them and you will be rewarded, as judges
will be literally throwing cash out to riders
that are killing it – 50RMB per trick!
Besides the usual glory, fame and respect that we
all know accompanies any rail jam, riders will be
competing for some killer prizes. A special team battle
will offer the winning crew the chance to design and
keep their own customized set of NIKEiD shoes,
while the individual prize categories will be presented
with a twist. Each category winner will get to choose
from 10 different girls holding mystery suitcases…and
while they’ll only be allowed to take home the contents
of said suitcases (not the girls!) with prizes including
a season pass for next year at the host resort
and a set of NIKEiD shoes, winners are guaranteed
to leave satisfied!
This is still, however, an event for the fans. Not only
will spectators be treated to the country’s highest
level of jibbing, but they’ll be enjoying it all with
free beer and hot chocolate, great tunes provided by
local DJs and numerous NIKE 6.0 giveaways
including event-exclusive foam fingers and bandanas.
With a new format, new setup and a whole new vibe,
whether you’re a shredder or spectator this is one night
on the mountain you don’t want to miss!

signature event aimed to get everybody who's anybody
stoked on their shredding. Featuring free demo gear from
your favourite brands, free coaching from the pros, a
BBQ and professional photographers catching it all, Fat
Saturdays is the perfect way to celebrate a wintery
weekend. Grab the latest gear, improve your riding and
get the picture to show your friends! No registration
necessary, all skill levels welcome.

8th Red Bull Nanshan Open
Now entering its eighth year, the legendary Red Bull
Nanshan Open (a 4Star TTR event) will see 24
international invited pros and 6 locally qualified
Chinese riders converge on the Quiksilver Nanshan Mellow
Park for Asia’s largest snowboard competition on the
Swatch Ticket To Ride World Snowboard Tour. This January
9th & 10th, catch some of the world’s top snowboarders
battle it out for US$25,000 prize money, global TTR
ranking points and of course...fame and glory!
The national qualifying round on December 26th offers
Chinese riders the chance to grab the last six remaining
invitations to compete side-by-side with their
snowboarding idols.
As the most recognized snowboard competition on Chinese

Hotpot PARTY
The movie is finished and the final touches are being
put on the DVD... which can only mean one thing - A
Big-ass Movie Premiere!! Catch the first public viewing
of our 'Happy Niu Year' Chinese snowboard movie this
November 14th, at Beijing's no.1 world-class dance party
'Hotpot'. The movie features an impressive line up of
China's heavy-hitting snowboarders, including Marco
Huang, Steve, Xfox, Mingming, Fanlei, Zhangwei and many
more, all filmed on location in Beijing's own Nanshan
Mellow Park!
The party side of things will be provided by the
body-shaking fresh-electro-beats

As with most parks, the Burton Qiaobo
Mellow Park definitely has a few local shredders who
might consider themselves “Park Kings”... nothing is
official, however, until you have the crown on your head
from the Burton King of the Park competition! This
October 17th, wage battle against the best riders in the
country and become ‘King of the Park’! Fame, fortune and
sick prizes from Burton await the top competitors in the
‘best of two-run’ competiton format. The battle promises
to be a tough one, so make sure we see you at the Burton

Most of you are probably thinking that winter is
well and truly over. It might be outside… but here at
Mellow Parks we’ve always believed that it’s what’s on
the inside that counts. Thanks to Burton Snowboards,
snowboard season continues through the summer in China’s
largest indoor ski resort with the re-launch of the
Burton Qiaobo Mellow Park. This year the park will
introduce even more innovative features to maintain it’s
reputation as one of the best indoor snowboard parks in
the world, shreddable 365 days a year! The day includes
a jam session, demo gear and some sweet prizes from
Burton as we celebrate summer snowboarding.
